10 Commandments of Church Administration

Who is the best person to run your church? Church administration not only takes skill but a faithful and humble servant. People who are chosen to lead the church take up great responsibility and require a close relationship with God and a mastery of His word.

In order to know how to lead a church, you must also study how the leaders did it in the Old Testament. Through this, you will be able to emulate faithful leaders such a Moses who stands as an example in leading and disciplining a nation.

You must also know your purpose of being an elder. It is to represent the authority of God. Elders are ordained both authority and submission. They are not chosen to “rule” over a church, but rather to serve and make decisions on what’s best for the community.

Not only is it the church administrator’s job to lead the congregation but also to support the church’s pastor. He must be sure that the pastor is able to do his job effectively and provide the right kind of leadership to the people.

1 Timothy 5:17

Let the elders who rule well be considered worthy of double honor, especially those who work hard at preaching and teaching.
